Waffles to keep

These waffles keep for up to two weeks in an airtight container.

Yield 40 servings

Time 30 min + 1h resting + 1h baking


Ingredients

  • 750g of butter (or a mixture of butter and margarin) at room temperature

  • 500g of sugar

  • two packets of vanilla sugar

  • 10 eggs, separated

  • 1kg of flour

  • 2 packets of baking powder


Method

Step 1

Beat the butter, sugar and vanilla sugar until light and fluffy.


Step 2

Add the egg yolks to the mixture. Then add the flour and baking soda.


Step 3

Beat the egg whites and carefully fold them under the dough. Let the dough rest for an hour.


Step 4

Bake! Use a standard waffle iron. The waffles should only take 5-6 minutes (depends on your waffle iron). Enjoy!
